Profex Group at GITEX AI Kazakhstan 2026: A Strong Regional Debut and New Opportunities for International Business
On 4–5 May 2026, GITEX AI Kazakhstan 2026 took place at IEC Atakent in Almaty, marking the debut of the GITEX brand in Central Asia and the Caucasus. The event was organized within the global GITEX ecosystem and held with the support of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, Astana Hub, and the Akimat of Almaty, underscoring its strategic importance for the region.
Over two days, GITEX AI Kazakhstan brought together 336 technology companies and startups, more than 100 investors, and over 200 speakers from 50 countries. The event highlighted Central Asia’s growing role in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, fintech, smart cities, and cross-border innovation.
A key feature of the exhibition was its strong focus on practical, market-ready solutions for both government and business. Global technology leaders including Cisco, Google Cloud, Huawei, Dell, Lenovo, and Salesforce were represented in Almaty, presenting applied solutions ranging from sovereign AI infrastructure to secure government digital systems. The event also had a strong investment dimension, with more than 100 investors from 28 countries and combined assets exceeding USD 200 billion considering the region as a new growth point.
One of the most important outcomes of GITEX AI Kazakhstan 2026 was its clear business orientation. According to Anadolu, 82% of participants were planning procurement within the next 3–12 months, while buyers attending the exhibition brought an active budget of USD 60 million. The event also served as a platform for concrete agreements, including a memorandum between Astana Hub and ARDVENTURE YATIRIM HOLDİNG A.Ş. focused on venture ecosystem development, as well as agreements related to the development of large-scale Tier III–IV data center infrastructure in Kazakhstan with a planned capacity of 50 to 200 MW.
