INNOPROM. Central Asia 2026: An Industrial Platform for a New Growth Region

From April 20 to 22, 2026, Tashkent hosted the 6th International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM. Central Asia, which in just a few years has evolved into a key business platform in the region and firmly established itself as one of the leading industrial hubs of Central Asia. The event brought together government institutions, major industrial players, and technology companies, becoming a focal point for discussing concrete projects, industrial cooperation, and the evolving landscape of export strategies.

The exhibition once again operated as a results-driven working platform. In 2026, it attracted over 11,000 visitors, more than 500 companies, and representatives from over 35 countries. The total exhibition space reached approximately 18,000 square meters. A significant share of participants represented core industrial sectors, including machinery, energy, metallurgy, transport, and industrial automation. Unlike traditional exhibitions focused on visibility and reach, INNOPROM reaffirmed its role as a platform where outcomes are measured through business negotiations, partnerships, and project execution.

The geography of participants reflects the emergence of a new industrial landscape across Eurasia. Countries from Central Asia, alongside Russia, Belarus, China, and Türkiye, were actively represented. Russia maintained a strong presence through both federal and regional delegations, as well as leading companies such as KAMAZ, Rosatom, Rostec, Tatneft, and MMK. In this context, INNOPROM serves as a platform for adapting export strategies within an evolving global economic environment, with Central Asia strengthening its position as a high-potential region driven by growing demand for industrial products, technologies, and infrastructure solutions.

The choice of Uzbekistan as the host country is strategically well-founded. The country continues to demonstrate stable economic growth, with GDP increasing at an average annual rate of 5–6%, while industrial output grows at 4–7% per year. Industry accounts for approximately 25% of GDP, making it one of the key drivers of the national economy. In parallel, the government активно promotes investment inflows and supports the development of local production. In recent years, annual foreign direct investment has consistently exceeded $8–10 billion, creating sustained demand for technologies, equipment, and industrial solutions.

Demographics also play a significant role. Uzbekistan’s population exceeds 36 million, with a large share being young and economically active. This creates strong internal demand for industrial development, infrastructure expansion, and technological advancement, further increasing the attractiveness of the market for international companies.

At the same time, Uzbekistan is actively advancing its technological agenda. INNOPROM 2026 clearly demonstrated the growing integration of digital solutions into industrial processes, including automation, AI adoption, and the development of digital platforms and industrial IT systems. A key role in shaping this ecosystem is played by IT Park Uzbekistan, which brings together hundreds of tech companies and serves as a major driver of IT service exports. According to official data, Uzbekistan’s IT exports have shown exponential growth in recent years, reinforcing the country’s position as both an industrial and technological hub.

From a business standpoint, INNOPROM continues to deliver strong practical value. According to organizers’ estimates from previous years, more than half of participants represent companies involved in procurement and investment decision-making, while a significant portion of business connections established at the exhibition evolve into contracts and joint projects. This makes the event an effective gateway to the Central Asian market, particularly for companies operating in the B2B and industrial sectors.

Profex Group participated in INNOPROM. Central Asia 2026, further strengthening its presence in the region and expanding its international business network. For the company, participation in such platforms is part of a long-term strategy focused on international expansion, partnership development, and integration into projects shaping the region’s evolving economic landscape. The exhibition enabled Profex Group to deepen its engagement with industrial and technology companies, while reinforcing its positioning as a player operating at the intersection of Central Asian, CIS, and global exhibition markets.
